Unlike many neighborhoods in Centerville and Washington Township, Cornerstone is served by the Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Local School District rather than Centerville City Schools. This is an important distinction for buyers who are used to the Centerville school assignment used elsewhere in the area, so it’s worth confirming enrollment details directly with the district before you buy.
About Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Local Schools
Bellbrook-Sugarcreek Local School District serves students in Bellbrook and Sugarcreek Township, and is known regionally for strong academic performance and a smaller, close-knit community feel compared to some of the larger Dayton-area districts. Families moving to Cornerstone should reach out to the district directly to confirm current school assignments, boundaries, and enrollment procedures for the address they’re considering.
Why This Matters for Cornerstone Buyers
Because Cornerstone sits at the edge of Centerville near the Bellbrook area, it’s easy to assume a Centerville property is automatically zoned for Centerville City Schools. Cornerstone is a clear exception, so confirming the district before making an offer helps avoid surprises after closing.
